It takes more than hanging a festive wreath on the front door, hiding the kitty litter and baking some fresh cookies to entice a good buyer. In today’s competitive market, sellers are looking for that extra edge to attract buyers and increase home appeal. For sellers to entice prospective buyers, many are enlisting the services of a home staging expert. According to Tina Camero, owner of Eclectic Staging, LLC, home staging is not exclusive to the luxury home market. “Home staging is for everyone,” Tina suggested. “There are reasonable price points for every home, occupied or vacant.”
Tina, who has been staging homes for more than five years, understands the real estate process and the mindset of sellers. “Now, more than ever, home staging is critical to the home-selling process,” Tina said. “Most industry analysts will agree that staged homes sell faster and for far more money than those that are not staged.”
To ensure a smooth home staging experience, Tina works closely with agents, sellers and photographers. She offers a seamless experience that adds value to everyone involved. “It’s paramount to listen to my clients’ needs and expectations,” Tina explained. “Together, we meet everyone’s objective, which is to show off the home’s best features and ultimately sell the home at or above listing price.”

With technology at the forefront, Tina also understands how photography plays an important role in home staging. “Not only does a home need to create a mood or an emotional feeling when a potential buyer walks through it; it should also show favorably online,” she said. “Many times, people are looking at homes on websites prior to a visit; therefore, a home should be staged in a way that also photographs well.”
To create a desirable space, Tina and her team follow the latest trends in color and design. They travel to the major furniture markets such as The Atlanta Merchandise Mart, Luxuhome Furnishing Trade Show, and New York and High Point. “We are always learning about the latest styles and find inspiration by taking classes and participating in career-enhancement activities,” Tina shared.
Tina is the current president-elect of the Real Estate Staging Association. She serves on several committees to educate other stagers and grow the business. “My alignment with this board has given me the opportunity to share and receive ideas and stay current on the latest trends in furniture, art, home accessories and real estate.”

Over the years, Tina and her team of seven, have personally selected and purchased one-of-a-kind items that are located at her 4,000 square-foot warehouse in Livonia. “I have a well-stocked collection of treasures,” Tina said. “This includes everything from artwork and lamps to accessories and various unique pieces.” Tina leads her business with honesty and education. She can create inviting spaces that show off their features while establishing a mood for potential buyers to visualize a future home.
Tina originally got into the home staging business after helping a family member sell their home. “The house had been lived in for over 20 years without any significant updates,” Tina recalled. “Without actually realizing I was staging their home, I began to get it ready to sell. I’ve always had an eye for decorating and I’ve re-done several of my own residences.” After Tina completed her work on the house, the broker saw the finished product and immediately insisted that Tina stage all her future listings.
“I love seeing the pleasant surprise on the seller’s face after we’ve staged their home,” Tina said. “The before and after pictures, as well as the positive feedback we get from the homeowners and real estate agents, make me feel very proud. Ultimately, the most rewarding thing of all is when the home sells.”
While Tina understands the object of staging is to flatter a property, she is acutely aware that every customer is unique. “To me, staging is a customizable business because there is never a one-size-fitsall solution,” Tina explained. “I work with customers to determine their needs and their budget and develop a customized plan for each staging project.”
