RE/MAX of Southeastern Michigan Agents “TURN UP” Their Support for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®

RE/MAX of Southeastern Michigan agents raised nearly $30,000 during the annual “Turn Up The Miracles Radiothon” hosted by 104.3 WOMC on November 19, 2020. Serving as a sponsor of the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals® event for asecond year, RE/MAX of Southeastern Michigan not only raised the highest amount of any corporate partner; RE/MAX agents, who faced the challenge of moving donations to a virtual platform, doubled the amount raised in 2019.

The funds will support the RE/MAX Communication Preschool Program, part of Beaumont Children’s Hospital in Royal Oak that serves children ages 3 through 5 diagnosed with speech or language impairments. The program is funded entirely by annual contributions made by local RE/MAX brokers and agents through CMN.

“We are thrilled with the amount raised this year and so proud of our agents who continue to step up and give back to the RE/MAX Communication Preschool Program,” said Pam Bellante, marketing director for RE/MAX of Southeastern Michigan. “Now more than ever, families need our support. This additional funding will provide scholarships for around 10 children to attend the program free of charge for one year.”

Candice Thompson, an agent with RE/MAX First, was the top fundraiser, raising $7,000 during the campaign. The combined amount raised by RE/MAX of Southeastern Michigan agents, radiothon listeners during sponsor hours, and the regional office was $29,765.

Supporting CMN is important to RE/MAX because the money stays local and helps children and families in southeast Michigan. “Many of these parents have no other option or place to turn to get the support they need,” Candice said. “It is our responsibility to give back to the community that gives so much to our agents.”
