WHAT SERVICES DO YOU AND YOUR TEAM PROVIDE?

We provide a unique individual experience for all of our clients through their homebuying or refinancing journey — from answering questions and providing mortgage consulting to generating individualized breakdowns of different scenarios for clients. Our team strives to ensure that our client knows exactly what goes into their mortgage and is educated about the entire process.

WHAT SETS YOUR BUSINESS APART FROM SIMILAR ONES?

I would say the key that sets my business apart from other loan officers and their systems is the personal touch, relationship, care and attention that I provide to my clients. Because I understand that no two mortgages are alike, I treat each person with respect, tailor my approach to their individual needs and ensure they truly understand what is happening in their mortgage. I take on more of a fiduciary advisory role to help my clients better understand which end result best serves their needs. Purchasing or refinancing a home can be an emotional roller coaster, so my goal is to make sure they feel secure about how they’re spending their money and make educated decisions based on their needs. Building mutual respect is a giant part of my business and tends to lead to relationships that continue after the deal has closed.

HOW AND WHY DID YOU PURSUE A CAREER IN THIS PARTICULAR INDUSTRY?

When I was growing up, my mom owned and operated her own real estate brokerage. She was closely involved with the mortgage side of the business as well, so I was always around the industry as a child. Fast forward to my post-military career: I took a job in Ann Arbor in the human services field, and one day a childhood friend who was on the operations side of the mortgage industry invited me to lunch. After our lunch, I decided to take a dive into mortgages. I strategically started as a processor so that I could learn the business, as well as the ins and out of loans. After processing for over half a year, I became licensed and have been originating ever since.

WHAT DO YOU FIND MOST FULFILLING ABOUT YOUR WORK?

The personal bond I am able to build with my clients and seeing them accomplish their goal of closing on their new home or refinancing are absolutely the best parts of my job. As cliché as it sounds, the people who I am able to work for and with really drive me to continue to get better and motivate me to help as many people as possible.

WHEN YOU AREN’T WORKING, WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE WAY TO SPEND YOUR TIME?

I have a beautiful young daughter who I love spending as much time with as possible. She’s currently three years old, so watching her navigate the world and learn is one of the most fun and rewarding things I’ve ever done. Besides being with my daughter, I enjoy personal fitness and pretty much anything outdoors. Some of my favorites are fishing, hiking, camping and recreational sports like golf and softball and baseball.
