After serving as a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 1999 to 2006, Jacque Gorris got into the mortgage lending business to continue fulfilling his desire to serve his community and the people within it. He began his career as a loan officer with Quicken Loans, followed by a year at PrimeLending. Today, Jacque is leading his team as a mortgage loan originator at Supreme Lending in Trenton. “I think serving in the military had a direct impact on where I am today professionally,” Jacque said. “The love and commitment that I have for my country directly correlates to the love and commitment I have for my local communities, and that has an impact on my clients.”
Jacque’s strong devotion to serving his clients is evident in his delivery of first-class service and consistent availability. “My phone is on seven days a week,” he shared. “If there is a time in which a client leaves me a voicemail or a text, I guarantee they will get a response back from me that same day. I am always working for my real estate agents and clients regardless of my schedule or location.”

Supreme Lending is a full-service mortgage lender, founded in 1999 and headquartered in Dallas, Texas. They have locations in nearly every state in the country with a phenomenal team who all share the same vision: helping individuals and families achieve their dream of homeownership. “Our drive to exceed customer expectations has been a major contributor to the overall company growth,” Jacque said. “We are known as one of the top mortgage lenders in the country for home loans, specializing in residential refinances and purchase loans.”
The company has been recognized as a top mortgage lender by Scotsman Guide in their Top Overall Volume and Top Retail Volume categories. Mortgage Executive Magazine has also recognized them as one of the top 100 mortgage companies in America, specifically as a group in the top 1% for mortgage origination.
Jacque acknowledged that the team of people who he works with is ultimately what sets him apart from similar businesses. “We have a top-notch team with the determination to get any loan closed as quickly and as smoothly as possible,” he said. “I also hold myself accountable for giving my clients up front, honest and reliable service. Beyond that, our pre-approvals are more than a piece of paper — we do all of our homework up front, review documents and have an electronic underwriting approval prior to issuing them out. It’s a trusted process that customers and real estate agents can count on.”
Jacque prides himself on giving straightforward answers, even if it is not the ideal answer for the situation. “I am very up front,” he explained. “If there is an issue, I will let everyone know so we can come up with a way to resolve it, move forward and close a deal in the best interest of the client.”
Jacque’s candor and approach to his lending business has been the solid foundation that has allowed him to survive many changes in the industry since starting his journey. “Like any business, change is inevitable,” Jacque said. “My individual drive, determination and perseverance have always proven to help me get through the most difficult of times.”
As a result of the last housing market crash, the industry has revised its rules and regulations to ensure that it does not happen again. “The biggest changes include better borrower visibility and additional disclosures with enhanced communication surrounding customer rights, rules and regulations,” Jacque stated. “Additionally, we recently went through an industry-wide application change, which allows us to gather more detailed information on our clients to help reduce errors and ensure a more accurate lending process.”
For Jacque, the most fulfilling aspect of his work is helping first-time homebuyers or individuals who have previously owned a home but later ran into financial difficulties. “It is a great feeling to be able to help someone feel the pride of homeownership,” Jacque said. “It’s a powerful experience to help someone rise above hardships or overcome their fears about owning a home.”
When he’s not in the office, Jacque is usually spending time with his two sons — JJ, 16, and Bryson, 11. Together, they enjoy traveling, playing hockey, golfing and socializing with friends. From a professional standpoint, Jacque said that success comes from personally building his business while helping his team grow and expand. “The more I can influence and help build up the careers of others, the more successful I become,” he said. “Helping others is truly my ultimate goal.”
Beyond being a positive influence in the lives of his sons, Jacque is also making a difference in his community through his drive and determination to deliver a genuine “customer first” experience in mortgage lending. “I am disciplined in my response to my work, and I will always go above and beyond for my partners and for our clients,” Jacque concluded. “My team and I are always working for our clients.”
