Action Estate Sales, LLC is a family-run business that considers its employees members of the family. Their allegiance to honesty and respect for their clients is of the highest regard, and the dedication to their work goes well beyond any of their competitors.

The company is owned and operated by Richard and Christy Shearer. Together, they established the group as a reputable estate sales business specializing in liquidating estates through in-home sales and providing appraisals and cleanouts. The company was originally founded by Richard’s brother in 2001 and later purchased by the couple in 2015. “We fell in love with the work and the process of helping people get through difficult situations,” Richard said. “My wife and I were excited when we were given the opportunity to purchase the company.”

Throughout the years, Richard and Christy have seen the evolution of estate sales. “Before, estate sales were mostly for the estate of your loved ones,” Richard recalled. “Now, more and more people are turning to estate sale companies for moving, downsizing or liquidating. Furthermore, with a rise in hoarding situations, we have seen an increased need for the services we provide — some requiring multiple sales in one home. We’re also gaining more visibility with the advancement of advertising on social media.”

Together, Richard and Christy have seven kids ranging in ages from five to 34, along with two grandchildren and another grandchild on the way. “We love spending time outdoors,” they shared. “We enjoy working in the yard, taking walks or riding our bikes. Also, as a family, we are focused on our spiritual needs.”

Whether it’s emptying a house or preparing it for a sale, the team can make almost anything happen. “We base our success on how satisfied our clients are and in our ability to meet their needs,” Richard explained. “This can be measured by the numerous referrals we’ve received from previous clients and from agents who believed in the services we provided to their clients.”
