Hello everyone, on behalf of myself, Expert Wire and Arctic Heating and Air, we’d like to invite you all to our 2nd Annual Explore the Trades night on Tuesday May 2nd. We will have food, games, prizes, and most importantly – an opportunity to learn about a career in the skilled trades of plumbing, HVAC and electrical.

Some of you were there last year, and we hope to see you again! We have a flyer attached with more details, and we are also hoping to deliver some flyers to some of you over the coming weeks so we can begin to spread the word.

Who is invited?

Everyone! Graduating seniors, students, children (last year we had a very impressive 12 year old who can’t wait to get into a trade), adults, parents, anyone interested in the trades or looking to learn more.

What is this event about?

Giving students, parents, and everyone else an opportunity to learn about what a career in the skilled trades would look like. We will have technicians, apprentices, and van tours for ALL three trades. The event will be held at our office so you will also have a chance to see our plumbing skills lab.

Why should we care?

For every 3 people retiring from the skilled trades, only 1 is entering. If we don’t start to get more people involved (starting with kids), and break the ‘blue-collar’ stereotypes, our whole world is in trouble. It’s THESE trades that set us apart in the US from 3rd world countries. Without clean drinking water, proper sanitation, electricity, and heating/cooling in our homes, our lives would look a whole lot different! Not to mention the trades are an amazing career path, with no student debt and great earnings potential.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We can’t crush the stereotypes, educate the world on the trades, and change the course of this MASSIVE skilled labor shortage without each and every one of you! It would be greatly appreciated if you could take 1-2 minutes out of your day to pass this along, or shoot me an email and we can deliver you some flyers. We are also more than happy to come to YOU and get in front of students to discuss the trades any time.

If you have any questions, please reach out. Thank you for your time!
