The British social season, or ‘The Season’ as it’s often called, is a succession of historic annual events taking place from spring through to the end of summer across the UK. This series of prestigious events all revel in a distinctly British experience. As the rustic glow of the season spreads new colours across the countryside, it’s the perfect time to escape into nature. This season’s Hicks & Brown collection will prep you nicely for every adventure.
For days spent exploring the wild, the new water resistant wax fedora is your all-weather hero. For a modern sporty edge baker boy caps are perfect for days on the go.
If special events are in the calendar wide-brim Oxley fedoras will add a striking finish to any look, while the Suffolk fedoras with distinctive feathers look especially fetching at this time of year.
Each of Hicks & Brown hats are designed in their Suffolk studio to be something special that will always be in style.
"Been looking for the perfect cap for a while and now I've found it, thrilled to bits"
Shop by colour - Our brown hats are versatile and suit most skin tones. If you have darker hair, olive and maroon hats are great choices. For lighter hair, navy styles work well. Also consider your wardrobe and the shades that will offer you most outfit options.
Think where you'll wear it most - If it's everyday outings, casual styles like our baker boy caps, or an understated fedora, like the Suffolk without feathers, are great choices. If it's for an occasion, the Oxley or Chelsworth collections are striking.
Consider your face shape - Long faces are balanced by width, so the Oxley Fedora is ideal. Round faces suit a higher crown and narrower brim so choose the Suffolk or Chelsworth Fedoras. If you wear glasses, choose a brim that won't sit low on your forehead.
Don't overthink it - Once you start wearing your hat regularly, you'll realise how good it feels. So don't hold off for an occasion, instead, wear it on your morning walk, en route to the office, shopping... as well as for special day out.

The Hermès journey continues towards new dreamlike horizons, where time takes on a singular dimension. Borders are blurred, movement is light and joyful. The hours of the world are an invitation to experience ubiquity – here or elsewhere – as the spirit takes flight, free and borne on the wings of dreams.
The Hermès Arceau Le Temps Voyageur
The Arceau line designed by Henri d’Origny in 1978 lends itself to a new expression of style and evokes the spirit of travel according to Hermès. Crafted in platinum and titanium or entirely in steel, set with diamonds (or not), its round case with asymmetrical lugs reveals a new reading of the hours of the world.
A gravitating counter journeys across continents, moving from city to city, flying over time zones. As it travels, the face of the watch is transformed, opening up whole new dimensions. The satellite gravitates on a fantasy map created by Jérôme Colliard for the Planisphere d’un monde équestre silk scarf. A metaphor of the ties between horses and the House of Hermès, this design was inspired by a giant globe created by the French graphic designer for the 2016 Saut Hermès showjumping competition in Paris. This unique interpretation invites you to travel through the imaginary universe of Hermès.
Against an intense black, deep blue or white mother-of-pearl background, the continents and meridians of this dreamlike universe stand out in relief and depth, adorned with subtle finishes: lacquered, openworked, sandblasted, sunburst, transferred or powdered silvertoned. A stylistic, functional and spiritual interpretation of a classic haute horlogerie complication, the unique ‘Travelling time’ mechanism developed exclusively for Hermès displays 24 time zones by means of a circular disc. The mobile counter and the home-time indication at 12 o’clock are driven by an exclusive 122-component module, housed in a thickness of just 4.4 mm and integrated within the Hermès H1837 mechanical self-winding movement. The mechanism as a whole powers the display of hours, minutes and a dual-time display with city indication.
Three Arceau Le temps voyageur models – a 41 mm-diameter platinum iteration enhanced by a matt black DLC-treated titanium bezel, as well as an all-steel 38 mm-diameter version and its feminine interpretation set with 78 diamonds – are paired with alligator or Swift calfskin straps secured by a pin buckle and crafted in the Hermès Horloger workshops in accordance with the saddlery and leatherwork expertise cultivated by the House.
