Goals for 2023 and beyond

We wish to grow our junior & elite teams and exceed our successes

To achieve:

• Medals at National Competitions

• Continue to develop the elite athletes in the Junior section

• Sustainable development plan to support more junior athletes to reach GB standard

• Nurture and develop our younger junior athletes

To do this we need to update our equipment and increase our fleet of boats to enable all of our elite juniors the opportunity to compete at regional, national and international events

To achieve these goals YOUR support is needed.

There is a cost to maintaining and growing our successes. To reach the top levels of any sport is very demanding and requires discipline, time, effort and of course, money.

The cost of Success 2023 and beyond

The costs involved in being a competitive Rowing Athlete include:

• Approximately £250 for a set of race compliant rowing kit

• £20 entry per race plus £6 towing fee per regatta

• Travel /Hotel costs

• £450 per year to attend training camps in school holidays

• Selection for Regional and GB requires additional investment in trials, accommodation and kit costs

Our athletes and parents make a commitment to cover these costs with fundraising however the costs of rowing equipment in the form of boats and blades is often beyond parental funds.
