Go-ahead for roundabout in Bramley HAMPSHIRE County Council hope a new roundabout in Bramley will improve safety around the junction. Councillors gave the goahead for the roundabout, to be built at the junction of Sherfield Road and Campbell Road, at a meeting last week. The council says the project, which could be started in January, will also reduce the increased congestion as a result of the ongoing housing development on German Road. Councillor Seán Woodward, said: “This new roundabout will be a welcome benefit and will improve access for local residents in and out of Campbell Road. “Safety will also be improved at this junction by reducing the speed of traffic on Sherfield Road on the approach to the new roundabout. The £510,000 scheme is mainly being fi nanced from developer contributions, and will take 20 weeks to complete. A dropped kerb crossing will be installed near the nearby bus stop in an attempt to improve access for the elderly, disable and people with pushchairs. The 40mph speed limit will also be extended 80m further towards Sherfield-on-Loddon from its current position on Sherfield Road.

from us, but to tell us what they want from Southern Health.” At the meeting, Trust representatives will be hoping to gather meaningful feedback on services to improve the experience for patients and carers. Information about The Recovery College will also be available, which offers courses designed to increase knowledge about recovery from mental illness and providing skills for self-management. Discussions over the Trust’s plans for next year will also give visitors their say if they agree with their priorities, and if they are focusing on important issues. The meeting takes place every year to publicise the work the Trust has done in the previous 12 months, which last year was held in Winchester. Tuesday’s event starts at 5pm with the interactive learning sessions, with the formal meeting beginning at 7pm. Attendees will also be welcome to refreshments during the evening.
