THE soft tones of musician Kieran Goss will be at the New Greenham Arts Centre on Thursday, May 12. The Northern Irish singer-songwriter comes to West Berkshire to perform tracks off his latest album ‘Solo’. He started performing as a semiprofessional musician when he was a law student at university in Northern Ireland. He released his debut album ‘Brand New Star’ in 1989, and has since released nine more with plans to release a new album soon with his wife, Annie Kinsella. “Annie and I have been together for 22 years and married for 18 years. She’s a great singer and artist in her own right and we love performing together,” he said. “I’ve been writing and recording songs for nearly 30 years and I think the secret of a great show is a mixture of old and new material.” Next Thursday’s gig will start at 8pm.

Movies starring comedian Johnny Vegas and the booming Brian Blessed will all feature on the night, with the three winning movies receiving a trophy. Dark comedy short fi lms such as
