The GAP Architect Series honors Donald Ross in 2023. The schedule is as follows: St. Davids Golf Club (May 8); Union League Golf Club at Torresdale (June 5); Country Club of York (July 17); Riverton Country Club (Aug. 28) and LuLu Country Club Club (Sept. 25). The GAP Architect Series includes lunch and golf. Bradford Becken, president of the Donald Ross Society, will serve as a featured speaker during dinner at the LuLu event. Cost to participate in the GAP Architect Series, which includes entry into all five events, is $1,250 per person. Male and female members of GAP Member Clubs are eligible. The GAP Architect Series is limited to the first 100 registrants. A participant can substitute if he/she is unable to attend one of the events. Learn the Heimlich maneuver and CPR.

What are some things you like to do when you’re not working?

Fishing, golfing, babysitting & cooking.

Do you have a collection of anything?

A baseball card collection. Mostly cards from the 80’s.

Do you have a favorite holiday tradition?

Easter Sunday, church in Ocean City, NJ, then breakfast at Uncle Bills, a walk on the boardwalk and back to Hammonton, NJ for a family Easter dinner.

Greens Department

Congratulations to Victor Frederico Tavistock’s Greens Superintendent who was recently elected to the Golf Course Superintendent Association of NJ Board of Directors (GCSANJ). This is a two year term. The Golf Course Superintendents Association of New Jersey (GCSANJ) is a state-wide association comprised of the leading golf course management and maintenance professionals. Established in 1926, the association serves the golf course superintendent by advancing the profession, offering professional development, and fostering relationships for all members and partners.

OUR NEW ASSISTANT GOLF PROFESSIONAL

Bridget McLaughlin, PGA comes to Tavistock from St. Davids Golf Club where she spent the last two years as the First Assistant Golf Professional. Prior to St. Davids she was an Assistant Golf Professional as well as Membership Director at Yardley Country Club for four years. She is a 2014 graduate of McDaniel College in Westminster, MD where she played as a member of the golf team.
