ARDMONA PRIMARY SCHOOL
Cool Kids Collaborative Inquiry- Making Learning Fun at Ardmona Primary School!
New staff member Mr Conor Bragge has stepped into his new role at the school as Senior teacher working alongside of the students with inquiry-based learning. The story of the Titanic has captured the imaginations and curious minds of generations of people the world over and the senior students at Ardmona Primary School are no exception. Students have been introduced to this fascinating topic by way of a Lego construction project. This challenging project consists of a 9000+ piece Lego puzzle, which is divided into three main sections. The senior class has been allotted into three teams to concurrently construct this enormous model of the famous, ill-fated ship. The collaborative project is providing many learning opportunities across the entire curriculum, from Design and Technology, Literacy, Mathematics, and Integrated Studies. The students have wholeheartedly embraced this project and while the construction phase is at completion, the learning links born from this project will continue well into the rest of the school year.
