Tarrant County Bar Foundation Honors New Fellows and Pro Bono Volunteers at 2016 Annual Meeting
T
he Tarrant County Bar Foundation held its Annual Meeting and Pro Bono Awards on January 28, 2016. The Annual Meeting started with a skit from Tortfeasors, a theatrical variety show planned and managed by the cast and crew of Tarrant County volunteers. 2015 Chair Rick Sorenson highlighted the accomplishments and highlights of the many community service programs and projects that the Foundation supported in 2015. These programs included an Annual Blood Drive, Big Brothers Big Sisters, CASA of Tarrant County, Elder Law Handbook, LegalLine, National Adoption Day, People’s Law School, Tarrant Area Food Bank, Tarrant County Volunteer Attorney Services (TVAS), Texas Lawyers for Texas Veterans - Tarrant County Chapter (TLTV), and a high school mock trial competition hosted by CHAIR Mattie Peterson Compton CHAIR-ELECT Patti Gearhart Turner VICE CHAIR Neal W.
