Yarn types
What yarn a carpet’s made from will change the way it looks, feels and performs. Each yarn creates a distinctive softness, texture and density. Let’s look at the main yarn types…
Wool
Luxurious comfort, naturally insulating and stain-resistant, wool keeps on giving as it’s completely sustainable, too.
Wool mix
All the natural insulation and quality of wool with added strength and durability for the perfect blend.
Polypropylene
A tough cookie that doesn’t mind a bit of dirt. The synthetic fibres feel soft, they’re hardwearing and can be cleaned with a 10% bleach solution.
Polyester
Whatever life throws at polyester – especially stains and water – it repels it. The fibres hold colour well, and feel very soft to touch.
Twist carpets Worth shouting about
Incredibly easy to clean, feeling and staying looking good for years, twists are the perfect choice for busy households.
