Please let us know as much information as you can about the room or rooms you’re measuring for. Is it a kitchen, bathroom or lounge? Maybe a bedroom, maybe all of them! It’s handy for us to know everything about the doors and windows, for example, how many there are, are they internal, external or patio doors, do the windows reach the floor and where are they on your plan? Please record the positions of all windows and doors on your sketch.

How to measure a room (it’s not as difficult as you think!)
Follow our six basic steps below to help get an accurate quote
All you need is:
A piece of paper Measuring tape
Pen or pencil Ruler
Our simple six-step instructions:
Sketch a rough plan including alcoves or recesses, bay windows, fireplaces and doorways.
Only record actual measurements. Don’t add any extra centimetres please.
Measure all the way into doorways to record the widths, then mark each measurement on your plan. Measure any recesses, alcoves and fireplaces etc.
Take a few measurements across the room from the same wall to the same wall. Not all walls are straight, there may be a few cms differences in width across your room. Mark all these measurement on your plan as you go.
Take note of any other features such as steps or split levels, this is where a photo will really help us. That’s it!
