OUR IMPACT

If there is something that the last several years has taught us, it is that resiliency and caring for our mental health is key to navigating these uncertain times. Through a pandemic and recovery, the Tampa Bay region has certainly seen a lot. Tampa is one of the fastest growing metro areas in the country, and Time Magazine recently named our city among “The World’s Greatest Places of 2023.”

Tampa Bay Thrives has grown in step with our region, strengthening our partnerships with the launch of new programming and convening community leaders around the topics of navigation and workforce development. In the process, we have helped over 2,000 people get connected to help for their mental health. Our cause has been championed by community heroes like Pat Maroon, the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey player who catapulted us into a national media conversation about using words thoughtfully and with kind intent. And yet, despite this momentum, there is still much more work to do.

Research we completed this year revealed stigma as a barrier for many people in getting help. In response, we are excited to launch our first big awareness campaign,
