PRODUCT DESIGN 2023

For me, design never feels like work, rather an experience, a new task to be answered. I have a strong backgound of working at a design studio as a team member, I experienced the procurement, production, construction, installation. Last year I started my own approach in design under the name: design by MUD Education

The main aspect of my design, taking into account the history of the chair (outdoor pub chair), is how the given frame structure can be made stackable.
The frame of the Budapest chair does not allow this, unless it is one of them rear leg can penetrate the seat surface.
The aim of the course is to recycle the given depreciated product, revitalization, getting to know the original product, analysis, reevaluation, putting it in a new context.
original budapest chairThe chair got its name from the fact that the chair can only be stacked in this sixty-three-degree pre-drilled arrangement, without any external intervention - i.e. touching the frame.
The seat and the back are made of 0.2 mm steel sheet and folded to fit. Then I drilled the perforations and pressed the resulting holes with a press tool - creating a less sharp, rounded opening.

The plumbing system connects everything. This is used by the CAPSULE system to transport goods. From the warehouse to the CAPSULE delivery point of your choice, using only water flow. For this reason, it is not only a faster and simpler solution for delivery, but also more environmentally friendly than any other package delivery solution
The Toyota Logistic Design Competition 2022 is a design competition for students. Last year, the topic was urban micrologistics, for which design solutions were awaited. Completion of the course was a condition for submitting the tender material for Toyota.

The main purpose of my design is solid wood/hardwood and colored plywood aesthetic kitchen collection using its beneficial properties preparation, in the form of a serving board and spatula. Due to the layered hardwood, the thickness of the material can be reduced, while its surface area allows it to be increased, that is, with the larger surface, the object can remain at a smaller material thickness, without increasing its weight. Highlighting and bringing to the surface the colored layers by etching into the surface in different directions and depths.
Multipraktik is a professional table tennis racket manufacturer, supplying rackets to the biggest Japanese brands. The task was given, an object had to be designed out of colored plywood, taking into account feasibility, which meant a woodworking workshop.
use of falling materials in the formation of layers
The serving boards are made up of different geometric shapes, chamfers, and alternation of radii, and their size is determined by the veneer layers.
I used a V-groove mill and a ball mill for milling. With the help of these, I created the chamfers, parallel and angled cuts. Which brought the colored layers to the surface.
The shovels are made of two parts. Form formed from a central core, which is 5 mm thick solid walnut wood.
The grip part consists of two colored and hardwood plywood.
hardwood layers allowed the small material thickness = less weight

COLLIGO is a human-controlled, electric, three-wheeled, city maintenance vehicle capable of sweeping, vacuuming and washing the street.
It was designed specifically for people cleaning the streets of Budapest, helping them in their daily work.
In the Micromobility course, we had to plan a maximum of 3-wheeled urban transport for 2030 in a location of our choice, a big city, in teams of two.
We chose Budapest’s waste management as the micromobility problem to be solved, due to the outdated, large and rare methods we observed.
Outdated colletion method
Rare high-pressure cleaning
Difficult transport of large industrial machines
Budapest public area cleaning tools
The main target group is the FKF city maintenance worker, helping them with their outdoor, physical work with the Colligo system.
Urban environment

Carefree, playful, melancholic - we built our space based on these three concept words we chose. After playing with the projector, we set our scene by materials, lightsources and other details to match the three word in a picture.
During the course, we worked in teams of three for 5 days. The task was to design a space that consisted of lighting a 50x50x50cm box with a projector. The team members each had to choose one of the concepts given by the supervisors, and then these three concepts had to be reflected in the final photo.
