BACKBONE TECHNOLOGY Takoon kites are made with our Backbone Technology. The kite structure is made of Teijin T- 71830 Dacron, the most durable kite fabric which locks the kite profile. This skeleton is composed of the leading edge, trailing edge, struts and load distribution panels. A transition area exclusive to Takoon; comprising of an insignia band which ensures an effective bond between Dacron and the lightweight canopy. This transition ensures a smooth power distribution between the different materials. It also reduces flapping and weight.

Then comes the assembly of the lighter canopy which forms the shape of the kite. We use Teijin T- 9600, which is the most reliable and recognized for its lightness, durability, resistance to tear and UV. Construction is completed with various reinforcements at critical locations with our technical seams and welds on all connections. Our Backbone Technology ensures the best per formance, lightness and durability.

Teijin is the leader in polyester fabrics for all kinds of sailing spor ts. Takoon Kiteboarding uses T-96008 for the canopy, which is designed with a high density structure using a high tenacity polyester yarn. This fabric is the most reliable and recognized for its lightness, durability, resistance to tear and UV. These materials have been tried and tested - we do not test new fabrics on you! We use Teijin T-71830 Dacron, for leading edge, struts, kite tips, trailing edge and all high load areas. While most kitesur fing brands stopped using Teijin Dacron to reduce costs, we believe that using the best materials makes it possible to keep the best per formance over time.

With over 160 years of experience in the manufacture of ropes, COUSIN Trestec is a major player in spor ting disciplines (S ailing, Kitesur fing, Climbing and Paragliding). Takoon Kiteboarding uses Cousin Top Line F800 lines, their high-end material. These lines are 100% Dyneema and braided with 16 plaits. Round and compact with optimized braiding angle to reduce stretching.

The leading edge is crucial because it must provide per formance and rigidity, while being able to absorb shock on impact. Its shape is conical to maintain kite rigidity while permitting twisting during turning for optimal handling. The thin ends also reduce drag. A small strap at the ends of the kite prevents the lines becoming jammed. The Dacron material of the leading edge is reinforced with a self-adhesive Insignia tape plus a double seam. The Heavy Dut y Leading Edge Closing Seam is resistant to ver y high tensions and diagonal forces.

We created load distribution panels using Dacron Teijin T-71830 to smoothly distribute the kites load at critical points. They are usually found on the bridle connection points. Even under the most extreme loads, the shape of the kite remains the same as in any ridi ng situation. The connection points of bridles are integrated into the leading edge for a per fect finish.

The LOG Phi is the ultra versatile kite with which to progress on any terrain. A firm favorite of our school centers, freeriders and Mallor y De La Villemarqué for freestyle! Its compact shape featuring 3 struts provides ver y good glide together with ver y intuitive bar feeling. No break-in is required to have fun. Emphasis has been put on stability, re-launch ability and refinement.

The LOG is ver y intuitive for wave-riding . Its lightness enables it to drift while sur fing, its stability will encourage you to push your limits. Turning speed is excellent and always under control. Bar pressure is moderate on the rear lines, you always know where the kite is with no surprises.

The LOG has a moderate aspect ratio, which provides ease of use and versatility. The new Reflex profile allows the kite to fly for ward in the window for easy upwind. Power is linear, wide and efficient depower allow optimal sessions whatever the wind conditions. Stability is increased on ever y size thanks to the Reflex profile. This «S» profile works as an automatic system which adapts its position to the flying conditions. The angle of the trailing edge helps to stabilize the kite to the zenith and edge of the window. The kite is per fectly balanced and front fall resistant. Ideal for schools and gusty conditions.

For Freestyle , the LOG provides ver y good pop for jumps and good glide. Timing is ver y easy to launch you up in the air. New panel cut on leading and canopy have been specially designed to improve rigidity. The rounded tips allow the kite to rotate around the tips, kiteloops are easy. For Wakestyle, the kite rides unhooked easily without excessive trimming - Mallor y ’s favourite! The leading edge diameter together with shor t bridle system gives a fluid C kite feeling.

The Furia gives an explosive feeling with highper formance characteristics; the kite moves quickly and accurately to meet your requirements. Kiteloops are reliable and landings are easier because the kite doesnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t pull you too hard and recovers to the zenith quickly. New panels on leading edge and canopy produce more accuracy. The bar provides both soft and direct feeling: soft according to the low effor t required for steering and straightfor ward when you have decided to exploit all its energy. The rear bridle connectors, allow adjustment of turning ability, bar pressure and effectiveness of depower. Anatomical EVA pads offer ultimate comfor t. Their thickness was especially designed to absorb hard landings while keeping the best contact with the board for improved feel. Two areas, located unde r heel and forefoot, prevent the foot from slipping. Footstraps benefit from two adjustment straps in order to fit any foot size. You can also adjust the clamping pressure of the foot kick. The unit is easy to assemble. 5cm G10 Fins provide the necessar y grip to the board. A leash attachment is available on the Source. The handle is light, 20cm wide.

Outline and flex provide comfor t and control in freestyle with a minimum of pressure on back foot, even in rough seas. The ABS rails are thin for exc ellent edging before take-off and easy upwind ability. They are rounded to offer softness in transitions and cur ves.

In Freeride , its shape is ver y fluid to provide smooth glide, whatever the sea condition. It is comfor table from the first tack without adaptation time. This feeling of ease allows fast progression.

The four 5cm G10 fins assist in early planning and upwind ability.

The uniform concave and progressive scoop offer unmatched slides, and great acceleration with a real feeling of speed. Tips are especially designed to offer maneuverability, softness, avoiding water projection and plunging in chop. Its characteristics allow it to have a ver y wide range of use: its glide allows ver y early planning, while its grip and comfor t will give you control in difficult conditions and gusty winds.

Our boards feature ver tically laminated Paulownia core for the highest strength to weight ratio. These cores are produced with CNC milling (Computer Numerical Control); this means that ever y core is true to our design.

This harness is clearly the top of the range waist harness of the GAMM A series with technical oriented design.

The spreader bar is integrated into an ergonomic bar pad to protect from rib injuries and prevents bruising.

It per fectly combines suppor t, comfor t, safety and style.

Hook and spreader bar pad are held by two straps on each side of the harness to avoid that it spin. Tightening and adjustments are easy thanks to cleats.

It is preformed using a 3D design to per fectly fit the shape of the back and avoid any pressure points. The thermo molded EVA on the back provides a great fit, the inner par t is mostly in neoprene material for lightweight and comfor t. The outline is padded with soft neoprene to avoid irritation.

Neoprene pockets keep any end of the webbing band from flying around. A rubber coated handle lets the leash slide along the back of the harness, making hanlde pass tricks easier. It comes with quick release on each side in case of emergency.
