Through his ability to create spaces that where both functional and aesthetically pleasing using material such as concrete, glass and wood , light and detailing in ways that had never been practiced before Scarpa opened a door for modern architects as well as those of his time to explore different possibilities and expand their imagination through their creations. Scarpa has created a lot of visually striking structures which have inspired generations of designers and architects over the years, one of the most well-known works which he did was the Brion cemetery in San vito d’
The cemetery which he designed in the 1960s, fully shows Scarpa’s meticulous attention to detail and use of natural material, the cemetery is currently known as one of the important architectureworks of the20th century entrance

Scarpa’s use of materials like stone, water, light as well as craftsmanship and attention to detail is highly expressed, the cemetery is also viewed as a cultural and historic landmark not only because it’s the resting place of the Brion Family but it also home to several art works from artists such as Giuseppe Santomaso and Emilio Vadova.
As a result of all this detail and use of material the impact of the cemetery can be seen in modern architects Tadao Ando and Peter Zumthor.
