FISHING RODS
In recent years there have been major developments in both raw materials and processes used in the manufacture of fishing rods. Ongoing research has lead to advancements in carbon and bonding resins, along with great progress in the processes and production techniques. The introduction of nano technology has in some ways revolutionized the way raw materials are used and applied, allowing better use of materials and increasing their capabilities. In short,it is possible to do more with less. The combination of different carbon fibers, sometimes in conjunction with other raw materials, impart unique characteristics to the final product, either in lightness, in action, or in strength. All aiming to produce a better product for the angler. Having long standing partnerships with some of the best fishing rod factories, Vega remains at the forefront of innovation and development. The goal that drives us is to obtain innovative, high quality and reliable products, which really fulfill the wishes of recreational and sport fishermen, hence the constant investment in research and testing of new materials and their applications. This high-end fishing rod is Vega’s Flagship rod for surf casting in 2015. The low diameter blank is made of ultra-high modulus carbon made with nanotechnology. The first 2 sections of the rod are powerful for casting, while the hybrid tip section enables a smooth and gradual transition between the tubular blank and solid tip without any loss of sensitivity. The solid hybrid tip has a diameter of 4.1mm and 2mm on its base at the top end, allowing great versatility in its use. The finish is of the highest quality, including soft

touch handles, aluminimum spigot reinfocements along with a high gloss paint The rod is fitted with the best quality fittings from Fugi, including Low Rider Alconite guides and a DPS Reel seat. With very powerful, stiff blank and reinforced joint areas, it’s able to cast weights as high as 270g. Its hybrid top section, with solid carbon tip, ensures high sensibility to bites and preserves sensitive baits during casting.
A powerful, stiff continental rod, with the ability to cast upto 300g, the potenza premium is ideally suited to UK fishing. Manufactured with a tubular tip, using high modulas nanoflex carbon, the Premium casts long distances with the minimum effort.
