LET’S JOIN TOGETHER TO SUPPORT OUR CHILDREN AND YOUTH Many of us can look back at our summer camp experiences and mark them as pivotal moments in our formative years. We were encouraged to take risks and open our hearts to God’s unique call in our lives. We bonded with church friends and made new friends alike. Summer camp changes lives. This summer our children and youth will have multiple opportunities to attend camp. Many of them are working hard to help fund their own way. Here’s the full cost of each camp in which we are participating:

June 21-July 2

Alkulana Older Boys ($25-$100)

June 25-30

Animate Camp ($50-$100/person)

July 1-July 8

CLUE Camp ($100/person)

July 6-July 13

Alkulana Younger Boys ($25-$100)

July 9-14

Passport Choices ($395/person)

July 17-21

Music and Worship Arts Camp ($250/person)

July 20-31

Older Girls Camp (between $25-$100)

August 4-11

Younger Girls Camp (between $25-$100—case-by-case basis)

Some of the camps have generously offered scholarships while others are supported through mission giving via denominational partners. However, your support is needed. Let a staff member know if you need some help around the house or with babysitting. Perhaps your Sunday School Class or Small Group would like to sponsor a family? Let’s all ban together to help make camp a reality!

COMING SOON: TABERNACLE STORIES, A WEDNESDAY EVENING SERIES BEGINNING ON MARCH 22 “We need to tell stories as a testimony to what God has done and is doing. If we do not share the stories, their power and truth are diluted, and their impact forgotten” (Wright/Davis). This seven-week series will center on the theme of “testimony.” Each week, we will invite one or two people from our congregation to share stories about their spiritual journeys and where they have seen God at work in their lives. We will have time to ask questions and explore together how God is moving among us at Tabernacle and in the world. This series will meet in the fellowship hall from 6:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday evenings. Tabernacle Stories begins on March 22nd and will continue until May 17th. We plan to podcast this series.

YOUTH FUNDRAISER: TALENT SHOW “THE STAGE IS YOURS!” SATURDAY, MARCH 25, 5-7:00 P.M. You are invited to come and enjoy the talents of our youth and church members! This event will go to support our youth going to camp this summer (we are asking for a $5 donation/person at the door). A snack supper will be served. This event is for all ages! Please come out for a great night of entertainment. If you have a talent you would like to share, there is a place for you! Singing, storytelling, magic—you name it, we want to see it! To sign up to share one of your talents, please go to www.tbcrichmond.org/tbc/youth to sign up. Acts should not be more than five minutes long. Contact Samuel if you have any questions at samuel@tbcrichmond.org.

LENTEN PRAYER/SERVICE CALENDAR AVAILABLE For Lent, we have created a prayer and service calendar. This calendar is geared towards families with children, but can easily be used by any member in the church. We invite you to pick one up and use it this Lenten season. They can be found on the pastel yellow pieces of paper in various corridors of the church. There are activities that ask you to make something, different individuals and groups to pray for throughout the week, and events for intentional family time. We hope that this resource can be used for the season of Lent to deepen your spiritual life, your relationship with your family, and your relationship with Christ.

SAYING THANK YOU TO OUR YOUTH THROUGH THE GIFT OF A SIMPLE MEAL Did you know that our youth meet each Sunday afternoon for a program called "Youth Worship Arts"? A wonderful group of adults equip them to use their God-given gifts in leadership of our corporate worship. They work very hard and we are very proud of them. Would you, or your small group, be willing to prepare a lunch on an upcoming Sunday to help support our teenagers? This is a wonderful way to offer gratitude and support! Contact Samuel@tbcrichmond.org with questions.

COME, WORSHIP WITH US THIS SUNDAY THERE’S A WIDENESS IN GOD’S MERCY Each Sunday in Epiphany we heard the song, “For Everyone Born, a Place at the Table.” The Kingdom table, and our understanding of Christian hospitality, expanded with the unfolding story of the Gospel. In Lent, we will explore the wideness of God’s mercy through the lens of the Gospel of Luke. The table will continue to expand, and, inevitably, we will find ourselves surprised by an ever-expanding guest list.
