CASE STUDY: LOCAL AUTHORITY HOUSING ORGANISATION – STORAGE USE MEZZANINE FLOOR
T2 Storage Solutions were contacted by a local authority as they were desperately short of industrial storage space. Our solution came in the form of a bespoke fabricated mezzanine floor of which we discussed their exacting requirements in great detail before submitting our detailed quotation and competitive quotation for our client’s approval. Being a local authority the proposed works was put out to competitive tender, however our attention to detail, experience & proven track record ensured T2 Storage Solutions were awarded the contract. To access the mezzanine floor structure we fabricated a straight flight industrial utility escape steel staircase along with a specially designed (cantilever system) safety pallet gate that ensures a handrail is always present whether the gate is up & down – therefore reducing the possibility of people falling from an un-guarded floor edge. Our safety pallet loading gate gate makes lifting pallets up on to the new structure child’s play and allows the full cubic storage capacity of the mezzanine floor to be utilised. Other works included : Bespoke designed & fabricated steel column protectors to prevent damage from fork lift trucks and hand pallet trucks etc. Unirack – Medium Duty shelving to store flat packed kitchen units. Electrical Works – additional lighting & emergency lighting etc. Building Regulation Approval – via our Approved Building Inspectors. The whole project was completed within several days and to the agreed contract value. Our relationship with our client has ensured T2 Storage Solutions has secured further projects in recent weeks.
