Upcoming changes in Safety Signs

Upcoming changes in Safety Signs; IMO to ISO During the 30th assembly of the IMO in December 2017 it was decided that all new vessels built from the January 1st, 2019 should be provided with new ISO Standard Safety Signs (resolution A.1116(30)), instead of the currently used old IMO signs. Any vessels which undergo repairs, alterations, modifications and outfitting within the scope of SOLAS chapters II-2 and/or III, as applicable, on or after January 1st, 2019 is expected to use this new standard. Currently T-ISS offers both the ISO and the older IMO signs. Wherever the difference between the two is minimal, we will move over to the ISO signs solely. In the following picture you will see how small the difference is.

The older IMO signage will remain available for those who still wish to buy them as specials on request. If you have any enquiries regarding the switch from IMO to ISO please contact T-ISS on +31 (0) 315 65 60 60 or info@t-iss.com
