don’t know if anyone could have predicted the year mother nature had in store for us in 2017. It was a wild ride to say the least with everything from drought and wild fires to a surprisingly good grain harvest and very good feeder calf prices. There were many days spent strategizing on how to deal with the drought and long hours spent putting up feed in very creative ways. In the end as expected, farmers and ranchers did what we always do and just gritted our teeth and figured it out. It’s always refreshing to see the resiliance that exists in the hearts and minds of people in Agriculture and it makes me proud of everyone involved. The 2017 Genetic Focus sale consists of our very best and will give you the opportunity to purchase bred heifers, heifer calves and embryos that are designed to make a significant mark on your program. We would encourage you to spend some time analyzing the offering and call us with any questions you might have. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers in attendance unless previous arrangements have been made. Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in cases of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds. Exchange Rate: For our American customers the exact exchange rate will be announced sale day but we expect it will be roughly $800.00 USD buys $1,000.00 CAD. Certificate of Registration: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Angus Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made. Health: All animals in the sale have met all necessary health requirements.
