Key Platform Planks – Conservative Party of Canada OVERVIEW The Conservative platform features the party’s most comprehensive climate plan yet. It includes numerous policies addressing energy transition, most notably a plan to “go big on electric vehicles,” a focus on becoming a world leader in the production of green hydrogen, and a variation of carbon pricing – albeit at a lower level than that proposed by its Liberal and NDP opponents. At the same time, the party is steadfast in its desire to make it easier to transport petroleum products across the country and beyond, as evidenced by its promises to end the ban on shipping traffic on
