In commercial property the rent review process is often defined by the lease and interpreted by the surveyor or if you fail to agree, by an independent third party through representation. Lease renewals including setting the rent are governed by the overarching legislation in the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 (unless opted out) which is a slightly more complex matter. Working in conjunction with solicitors we advise upon notices required and indicative rents to ensure our clients’ positions are best protected
