Caution 1. The pneumatic equipment shall be selected by pneumatic system designers or professionals. The person decides specifications and has a responsibility for the performance and safety.
2. Only trained person should operate pneumatically operated machinery and equipment. Compressed air can be dangerous if an operator is unfamiliar with it. Assembly, handling or repair of pneumatic systems should be performed by a trained and experienced operator.

Air Supply
Warning 1. Use clean air Use clean air which doesn't contain chemicals, synthetic oils containing organic solvents, salts or corrosive gases etc., because this can cause damage or malfunction.
Caution
Valve Operation
Warning 1. Actuator drive When an actuator is to be driven using a solenoid valve, take appropriate measures to prevent potential danger caused by actuator operation. 2. Since valves are subjected to air leakage, they cannot be used for applications such as holding pressure. 3. Can't be used as an emergency shutoff valve, etc.
1. Filteration to 5Âľm is recommended. 2. Large quantity of drainage may cause incorrect operation of pneumatic products as well as environmental contamination. Please control drainage. You can use the filter with auto drainage in case of difficulty. 3. When there is a large amount of carbon powder from the compressor, please install a mist separator.
Installation
Warning 1. Confirm the specifications Don't operate at pressures or temperatures beyond the range of specifications, because this can cause damage or malfunction.
Environment
Warning 1. Keep away from corrosive gas, chemical solutions, sea water, rain and steam. 2. Avoid using in an explosive atmosphere. 3. Don't use in locations subject to vibration or impact. 4. Avoid direct sunlight. 5. Shield radiated heat generated by nearby heat sources. 6. Use a protective cover when installed in a place where a drop of water or oil will splash momentarily. 7. Please install a silencer on the exhaust port when installed in a dusty place.
Lubrication
Caution 1. No further lubrication is required because valves are prelubricated. 2. Please use turbine oil (ISO VG32 or equivalent to) if lubricant is required. Once lubrication is applied, it must be continued, because the original lubricant may be eliminated.
Caution 1. Leakage voltage 1) Residual leakage voltage of DC coil must be less than 2% when switch is OFF. 2) When using a C-R element, there might be a chance to increase the leakage voltage. 2. Low temperature operation Avoid ambient temperatures outside the range prescribed in the specifications. At low temperatures, appropriate measures should be taken to avoid solidification of freezing of drainage and moisture, etc. 3. Operation for air blowing When using solenoid valves for air blowing, an external pilot type or direct solenoid operated type should be used. Also, supply compressed air within the pressure range prescribed in the specifications, especially for an external pilot type.
Low temperature operation
Caution 1. B e careful of solidification or freezing such as drainage water at a low temperature below than 5°C.

It is turned ON by pushing the button in the direction indicated by the arrow until it hits the end and turned OFF by releasing the button.
2. Connection/Disconnection of socket with lead wire 1) Insert a socket into the square hole of connector, pushing fully the lead wire and lock by hanging the hook of socket to the seat of connector. (Pushing-in can open the hook and lock it automatically.) Then confirm the locking by light pulling of the lead wire. 2) For pulling-out the socket from the connector, pull out the lead wire while pushing the hook of socket by a stick with a fine point. If the socket is re-used as it is, reposition the hook again.

1. When equipment is removed, first confirm that measures are in place to prevent dripping of work pieces and runaway of equipment, etc. Then cut the supply pressure and power, and exhaust all compressed air from the system using its residual pressure release function. When the equipment is to be started again after remounting or replacement, first confirm that measures are in place to prevent lurching of actuators, etc., and then confirm that the equipment is operating normally. 2. Although don't use frequently, operate the valve regularly to prevent malfunction.
3. Crimping connection of lead wire and socket 1) Peel 3.2 to 3.7 mm of the tip of lead wire, insert the core wires into a socket and crimp using a crimping tool. 2) Be careful so that the insulation cover of lead wire does not interface with the crimping part. 6
Caution 1. Drainage removal Remove drainage regularly from air filter.

Latching type valve (LV290)

Caution
Caution
Latching type valve is designed to prevent malfunction in case of the momentary power interruption. It is advised to apply a consecutive electric current to the SET coil and a momentary electric current (over 10 ms) to the RESET coil. Even though Latching type valve is supplied as the RESET condition (A-R), it can be turned to the SET condition because of the external shock or vibration during the handling. So you should check the power condition before the first use.
UV280 is designed to use normal close (N.C.) and normal open (N.O.) freely just by selecting the port for supply. So you can select any port for the supply or exhaust as 6 methods below.

Lamp and Surge Voltage Suppressor When an electric current is applied to the SET side ,the red lights come on the indicator lamp of latching type valve. On the other way, when an electric current is applied to the RESET side, the green lights come on. Its coil is 5 mm longer than that of normal single type valve (V290).
