A Word from the Washington Department of Transportation

Later this year, WSDOT will make changes to our Good To Go! billing system which will give us the ability to mail toll bills to dealership plates for trips made on toll roads. With our existing system, we have been unable to mail toll bills for dealership plates, even though they are subject to paying tolls. We encourage you to open a Good To Go! account as it will help save money, and will make managing your fleet of vehicles easier. The process is simple and can be done online at MyGoodToGo.com, in-person at one of our customer service centers, or over the phone by calling 1-866-936-8246. Further information about tolling including facility locations, rates and how to pay is available online as well as on the WSDOT app. We understand that this is a change for your company and we are happy to answer all your Good To Go! and tolling questions, so please don’t hesitate

Some of you may have read with interest Todd Shepard’s article with a disjointed opening paragraph. It was our OOPS. The first paragraph from Todd’s previous column got stuck on the front end of his new column, which a acutally started with, “As a dealership owner…”

[2] We gave incomplete credit

for the Tire Hieroglyphics article on page 14 in the November/December issue. The article was a reprint from The Star: Mercedes-Benz Club of America. John Goux wrote the article, but many of you probably thought, who the heck is John Goux, now you know.

McConkey Auction Group Launches magauctions.com

Independent auction company consolidates online presence.

Spokane, WA – McConkey

Auction Group (MAG) is excited to announce the launch of MAGauctions.com, a website that includes all its wholesale auction businesses. Prior to its development and June 12th launch, the company had separate websites for DAA Northwest, DAA Seattle, and its motorsports division. One of the tools magauctions. com provides is a comprehensive sale calendar. Dealers can now view all scheduled MAG events in a single online location. “The calendar development was a priority when we began the project,” says Mitzi VanVoorhis, MAG’s VP of Marketing. “We started working on the new website before COVID-19 hit – the rapid pace of change since then has made the calendar a go-to tool,” she adds. In addition to the calendar and information about DAA Northwest, DAA Seattle, MAG Now, MAG Motorsports and MAG RVs, magauctions.com provides dealers with entry to both EBlock and Edge Pipeline. The McConkey Auction Group served as a beta location for EBlock earlier in the year; its MAG Now auctions are powered by EBlock and take place every Wednesday at 1:00 PM (PT). MAG’s weekly DAA Northwest and DAA Seattle auctions are offered via Edge Simulcast. Future magauctions.com plans include the integration of new dealer tools. “We are in a time of digital transformation,” says Bob McConkey, President and CEO of MAG. “Our new website is one avenue we have employed to supplement our hands-on, relationship-based service,” he adds. McConkey Auction Group (MAG) is an independent, wholesale auto and specialty auction company headquartered in Spokane, Washington. MAG’s auctions include DAA Northwest, DAA Seattle, MAG Now, MAG Motorsports, and MAG RVs. The company is a member of the National Auto Auction Association and ServNet, America’s premier independent auto auction network.
