APOLLO13: Mission Control

Houston, we have a problem… Trapped 200,000 miles away from Earth, three astronauts fight for their lives. An explosion has ripped through their space craft, and they are quickly running out of oxygen, power and hope. As the world waits helplessly, the elite staff of America’s Space Agency are desperately trying to find ways to bring the crippled ship home. Inside a detailed replica of the 1970 American space administration control room, students become members of Mission Control, joining Flight Director Gene Kranz to bring the three heroes home. Sitting in console seats or as members of the Press Gallery, they will be given the opportunity to interact with the Astronauts and Mission Control staff. Based on real events, this interactive performance offers first-hand insight into this remarkable story of survival.
