PHILANTHROPY & DONATIONS YOU MAKE IT POSSIBLE
ASSOCIATE PRODUCERS
Philanthropy continues to be an increasingly important income source for the Festival and we are very grateful to all those who came on board to support Sydney Festival 2015.
Supporters of the Festival’s Associate Producers program are aligned with one or two Sydney Festival highlight productions each year which require additional financial support in order to be realised. In 2012, I Am Eora was made possible by the commitment of our inaugural Associate Producers followed by the groundbreaking work Black Diggers for the 2014 Festival. This year the Associate Producers supported Long Grass, a new dance work by Indigenous choreographer Vicki Van Hout, and a new Australian theatre work, Masquerade, by Australian actor and playwright Kate Mulvany.
Over the past four years the Festival has been building a philanthropic program which offers our supporters the opportunity to get closer to the Festival and its artists. It enables us to create a Festival with artists from all over the world, providing great experiences – free and ticketed – to the people of Sydney and beyond. The program offers various levels of support with a variety of benefits including priority booking, VIP access and exclusive events.
We especially thank Peter and Lou Freedman who made a six figure donation which will Our donors provide great feedback on the contribute to Sydney Festival 2016.
