To celebrate the 40th Sydney Festival, London-based photographer Eva Vermandel has brought our history to life with an evocative series of portraits scattered throughout the city. The Festival’s collaborative spirit is visualised in Vermandel’s timeless and natural photography, capturing everyone from internationally renowned artists

like Kate Champion and David Byrne to behind-the-scenes staff, volunteers and audience members; a tribute to the enthusiasm and dedication of people both on and offstage. A public exhibition where the cityscape is the gallery, take a walk around the CBD or visit the photographic exhibition at UNSW Galleries, to see 40 Sydney Festival faces.
