WYVERN THEATRE 1

Magical Entertainment at the Wyvern this autumn As always, Swindon's Wyvern Theatre will be doing everything it possibly can to brighten up those Autumn days. The passing summer will be remembered at the beginning of the Classical Music Series themed on The Mediterranean commencing on 23rd September. In the following week the delicate classical guitar of John Williams continues the mood on 27th September, though The Great Guitar Showcase on 13th November will feature guitarists of quite a different kind. Music from Chas & Dave (8th September), Rick Wakeman (19th), Acker Bilk and Kenny Ball (21st) and The Blues Band (29th) all feature in the GWR Radio September Spectacular Some exciting professional shows are lined up. The toe tapping musical Ain't Misbehavin' will have you jiving in the isles (12th-I 7th September) whilst the stage adaptation of a classic work of American literature To Kill A Mockingbird will grip you later in the autumn. To end the season, from 16th December onwards, the latest in a long line of Wyvern Theatre pantomime spectaculars takes the stage. Dick Whittington will make his way to London with help from TV stars Peter Denyer, Andrew O'Conner and Michael Croth, CWR's Mark Seman and Bob Harrison and Swindon's own Pollyann Tanner.
