Greetings from WHL Commissioner Ron Robison As we embark on another great season of WHL hockey, our players and fans will have plenty to look forward to this year as we welcome back the City of Victoria to the WHL and open a world class facility in Moose Jaw; Mosaic Place. The WHL and our 22 Member Clubs continue to focus on enhancing the experience for both our players and fans alike. We believe we offer our players the best of both worlds from a hockey and education standpoint. Whether a player is drafted by an NHL team, gets a chance to participate in the World Junior Championship, or takes advantage of our comprehensive Scholarship program, the WHL continues to offer exceptional opportunities for our players to excel both on and off the ice. At the same time, through the support of our arena partners, we have made significant improvements to our WHL facilities. We are now in a position to offer our fans many of the same features experienced in NHL facilities, including video scoreboards and box suites in virtually every WHL arena. These enhancements combined with our expanded television, radio and internet broadcasts allow us to deliver WHL hockey to our fans on a regular basis throughout the season. Thanks to the support of our fans, media, sponsors and broadcast partners the WHL continues to upgrade our product each season. By providing the best environment we can for our players, and new facilities for the enjoyment of our fans, we are looking forward to another successful season in the WHL.

This land gives us everything. It gives us amazing lakes, epic mountains and more square feet of awesomeness per person than anywhere else. It also gives us Canadian water, prairie barley and exactly what we need to brew one of the best tasting lagers in the world. So raise a glass to this land. We wouldn’t be Canadian without it. Cheers.
