A core focus of this policy approach would be to instill in individuals the values of genuine democratic dia- logue, including the importance of collaborative thinking and the will- ingness to seek out and discuss di- verse perspectives. In this way, this approach seeks to rekindle a sense that citizens’ participation in public discourse is valuable. Each one of us can play a vital role by participating in our national dialogue.
