The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michele Richardson is a novel “inspired by the true blueskinned people of Kentucky and the brave and dedicated Kentucky Pack Horse library service of the 1930s.” It’s a “story of raw courage, fierce strength, and one woman’s belief that books can carry us anywhere.” The Wish by Nicholas Sparks follows Maggie from age 16 when she was far from home, waiting to give her baby up for adoption and falling for Bryce, who teaches her the art of photography, to the present day when she is asked if she had one wish, what would she wish for this Christmas?
