Men’s Shed– Harvey Welcome to our new members– so happy to have you join our ranks!Men’s Shed– Harvey Ray was an electrician by trade Terry Winnand worked for the SEC up until it became Western Power. He Terry was born in Warwickshire, England and lived in Southampton joined Men's Shed late in 2020 before he immigrated to South Australia and settled in Whyalla. to give himself a social outlet.

Terry loves his time at The Men’s Shed. He enjoys the camaraderie of the other men and the time they get to socialize in ‘bloke style’ and all the manual tasks he can be involved in on a regular basis.

When Terry joined The Men’s Shed, he will be the first to admit that he could not even knock a nail into a piece of wood. His

Ray Mark woodworking skills have improved considerably and he is now Ray's first project is an antique chair which proficient in using the tools and completing woodwork projects. has been in his family for many years. He has spent many hours restoring it Terry has begun renovating garden benches at The Shed. His skills back to near its original condition. have even allowed him to create some tables for his wife, Aurdrey, Mark ,who was a salesman in his working life, joined Men's Shed for much which are now used in their home. the same reason as Ray. He found that life was getting a bit the same each day and now looks forward to coming in on Tuesdays to sit and have a cuppa and chat with the other men. Previously a member of the North Beach RSL, Mark has joined the Harvey branch and has been able to make many friends there as well.

Men’s Shed Donation request

The Men’s Shed members are planning to create benches by using refurbished bench ends. If you have an old bench that you no longer use and would like to donate to this cause, they would be most grateful. We are happy to collect old parts from your home.
