Changes to the Pensioner Free Travel Scheme What will change? The paper WA Free Travel vouchers issued with Pensioner Concession Card renewals will cease from the end of December 2019. Free Travel entitlements on Transwa services will remain and from January 2020 will be managed electronically by Transwa and issued for travel within each eligible calendar year. Before booking with Transwa each WA pensioner must be registered so their concession and entitlement details can be verified and their electronic entitlement established.
How do Pensioners register for free travel? Registration forms will be sent with Pensioner Concession Card renewals and to known Transwa customers or can be downloaded from the Transwa website. Alternatively, pensioners can register online at
transwa.wa.gov.au-Pensioner-Free-Travel Pensioners are encouraged to register as soon as possible to ensure their 2020 free travel entitlement is allocated when they become available for booking in October 2019.

MEN’S SHED HARVEY Harvey Men’s Shed member Bob Hall has been working hard to produce a panel with historic photos taken in and around Eden Grove Community Precinct, Harvey. The panel is one of six which Bob has expertly framed using recycled wood taken from one of the heritage buildings on the Eden Grove Community Precinct site during its recent refurbishment. The panels are set to be hung on the walls of the Eden Grove Manning Function Centre in the foyer for all to enjoy.

MEN’S SHED HARVEY
Photographed above, Bevan House and Lance Powell are with Elke Schulze who has donated a train set to the Men’s Shed. The train set was started by Elke's husband Rainer, who sadly passed away before he was able to enjoy his newfound hobby. As the train takes shape we will invite Elke back to see it as perhaps her husband envisioned it would be. A number of Men’s Shed members have shown an interest in completing what Rainer was unable to finish and also expanding it as fresh ideas pop up. To assist in the expansion of the train set, the Men’s Shed are open to donations.

Winter Winter comes, but once a year Not a time, to shout or cheer Leaden skies, that look so bleak With rain that falls, for a week Your social life, it impedes And gives succour, to the weeds Mow the lawn, you cannot do 'Cos it's wet, with more than dew
Driving brings about, a frown When the rain, is tumbling down Some idiots, take no heed And fail to, reduce their speed Have no wish, to make the trek Water dropping, down my neck To the shops, on such a day When skies are dark, and so grey There's no point, my getting wet It's something, I might regret So now I am, loathe to go For coffee, with guys I know Better that, I do postpone I'll tell them, by telephone I decided, to stay home And become, a T.V.
