Fish ‘N Chips Fish in the ocean, fish in the sea Just where I fish, matters not to me Fish in the rivers, fish in the lake You just have to know, what bait to take. Fish in the brook, and fish in the stream Catching a big one, an Anglers dream Fish of all sizes, and colours to match Big ones, little ones, plenty to catch. Fish grilled, baked or fried in a pan Some you can’t eat, though most you can Fish that you scale, or those that you skin Sliced into fillets, nice and thin.
Fish in a soup, or fish in a stew To make a chowder, with shellfish too Fish in patties, or fish in a paste Only their bones, you’re likely to waste So many ways you can cook a fish To end up with , a real tasty dish Yet it passes through most people’s lips Wrapped in paper, as fish and chips. Les Stevens May 2017
