Tennis stars of Naphakade shines in tournament

Naphakade Primary School in Malmesbury is celebrating the outstanding performance of its table tennis players at the recent West Coast Table Tennis Trials in Vanrhynsdorp. Held on 18 May, the event saw remarkable talent on display, with Naphakade's learners making a significant mark.

The school takes immense pride in announcing that Hlomla Ngwenze (Under 11 boy), Sisitha Baba (Under 11 girl), and Luphumlo Maliti (Under 13 girl) have been selected to represent Team West Coast. This achievement underscores their dedication and skill, earning them the opportunity to compete at the South African Inter-District Junior and Senior Championship in Johannesburg, scheduled from September 22 to 28. Coached by Richard Gebe and Randell Pietersen, these young athletes are poised to make their mark on the national stage. This milestone not only reflects their personal dedication but also marks a significant moment for table tennis at Naphakade Primary School.

As the sport is relatively new at the school, there's a call for support to ensure these talented players have the resources they need for success. Donations and funding are sought to cover travel, accommodation, and training expenses, providing the best possible chance for our athletes to excel.

If you're interested in supporting these aspiring athletes and fostering the growth of table tennis at Naphakade Primary School, please reach out to Richard Gebe at 0810959220 or via email at rgebe23@gmail.com. Your contribution will play a vital role in shaping the future of these young talents and the sport itself in Malmesbury.
