Where is your favourite view? I love the view from Castellamare restaurant on Mumbles Road as it overlooks Bracelet Bay and Mumbles lighthouse. It’s a lovely place to sit and relax with good food and watch the waves come in and the kids love to go there on family days.

Where is your favourite salon? It has to be my salon, Total Perfection Nail and Beauty in Brynhyfryd, Swansea. I tend to have all of my beauty treatments there with my professional staff. We have a large book of loyal customers and I’m usually so busy treating my clients that I’m the last to get booked in, but when I do I like to have the works! We offer Bio Sculpture nail treatments and a wide range of threading, waxing, tanning and massage services.

Where is your favourite shop in Swansea? My favourite shop in Swansea is River Island in the city centre, I always find something in there, and so do my teenage daughters! We like to go on girly days shopping and we can spend ages in there. There are also lots of quirky boutiques to choose from in the city centre. Where is your favourite café? There is so much to choose from in Swansea, it’s hard to choose just one! I really like the atmosphere in the new Costa Coffee on Oxford Street and as I’ve already mentioned, I like to spend precious days off in Castellamare, it’s a lovely place to relax and take in the sights of Swansea’s beautiful beaches. Where is your favourite restaurant? My favourite restaurant is Rasoi Indian Kitchen in Pontlliw. It’s child-friendly so my husband, Enzo, and I can take the kids and enjoy the delicious Indian food. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is great and there’s plenty on the menu to choose from for the whole family.

“I like to spend precious days off in Castellamare, it’s a lovely place to relax and take in the sights.”

“We like to do a bit of shopping followed by some good food and a walk along the Mumbles pier.” Charlotte Rogers speaks to Elouise Moss-Maccarinelli, owner of Total Perfection Nail and Beauty in Brynhyfryd, about what she loves about Swansea. She is married to Swansea’s Enzo Maccarinelli...

Where is your favourite place to visit? The whole family loves to spend a day down the Mumbles during school holidays or days off. There is so much to do there with lots of local shops, independent restaurants and ice-cream parlours. We like to do a bit of shopping followed by some good food and a walk along the Mumbles pier. How do you like to relax in Swansea? My son, Romeo, has been diagnosed with autism, so we like to spend a lot of time at the beach as it’s a quiet and peaceful environment for him.

Where is your favourite place to relax? I’m very family-orientated so any days off are spent with the kids, that’s how I like to relax. I like to take the children down to one of the many beaches in Gower, like Caswell or Langland. We like to chill out with a picnic.

I also like to go running along the promenade during work and family time, I’m running the Swansea Half Marathon this summer for a charity called Active for Autism. I’m making sure I get as much training in as possible so I can get a good time and raise money for a cause I feel passionately about.
