Cardinal Payment Plan

Steps to Apply for Financial Aid
1. Be accepted for admission as a degree-seeking student. 2. Request a PIN number. Both the student and parent completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form should go to: www.pin.ed.gov and request a Personal Identification Number (PIN). The PIN will allow you (and your parent) to electronically sign the FAFSA form. 3. Submit the FAFSA for the 2012-2013 school year (include SVSU’s School Code: 002314). Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov to complete your application electronically. Apply as soon as January 1, 2012. 4. If any additional information is required to process your financial aid, respond promptly. 5. Award letters are sent to students beginning in late March of each year. Student financial aid packages may include a combination of scholarships, grants, loans and work study employment.
