Coffee
Derek Scanlon and Josh Glass, co-owners and founders of Ginger Beard Coffee.
You may want to try a flight of cold brew, then take your favorite to go in a growler. They are looking to continue to push the boundaries of cold coffee and bring the people of Tampa the caffeine they are looking for.
They took a chance and their idea became a reality. They quit the daily grind of corporate life, partnered with the Pour House in Grand Central and began serving coffee in Tampa’s Channel District under the name Ginger Beard Coffee, named after the red facial hair of the owners.
They understand some people prefer hot coffee so they also serve drip coffee and espresso beverages.
The Channel District community takes care of their own and Ginger Beard takes care of their caffeine needs.

Ginger Beard Coffee specializes in a Nitro Cold Brew coffee. They used the same equipment they used with homebrewing beer to make coffee, minus the alcohol, and this crazy thing happened - it worked. The Nitro Cold Brew is served from four taps at the end of the bar in the Pour House. They also serve two locally sourced Kombuchas, a locally brewed ginger beer and nitrogen infused tea made in-house. There are eight taps of cold options.
Parking is endless in the garage directly above the shop, and free for the first two hours. There are 70 seats inside and 40 outside. Plenty of comfortable places to post up, enjoy a delicious beverage and get things done in a comfortable, friendly environment.

Ginger Beard Coffee’s story didn’t start with visions of corporate profit, like most coffee shops. It started with a crazy idea by a few friends. The idea was to combine their love of coffee and of people in a new way and bring new life to an unused space.
