Lower School Review

BY SUSAN CRANFORD

We had SO MUCH FUN at our Softball Slugger and Baseball Buddy night on Monday night. Our boys and girls loved running out on the field with their player and standing with them in their position on the field. I love seeing the fun our students have when interacting with our older students. They adore them and love spending time with them!

Our kindergarten students dressed as their future career and wrote about what that job entails. One of my favorites said, “I want to be a boss so I can take off whenever I want to go hunting!” They love pretending what their grown up jobs will be!

Fourth grade learned about character traits They chose a trait, wrote a definition, a scripture reference and what the trait means to them We love installing these character traits into our children and hope they will always be shining examples of grace, respect, love, humbleness, kindness, trust and compassion.

Remember that next week our students in grades 1-5 will be testing each morning before lunch. Please arrive ON TIME, make sure your child eats a good breakfast, and do not make any doctor or dental appointments during this time. Students who arrive after 8:00 am will not be allowed to enter the class if testing has begun. He/she will have to wait in the office until that portion of the test is complete. We are excited to administer the ERB test this year and can’t wait to see how well our students do!

THIS WEEK, STEAM STUDENTS LEARNED ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF CLEAN WATER AND HOW WATER GETS DIRTY. THEY THEN EXPERIMENTED TO MAKE THEIR OWN WATER FILTER! SO MUCH FUN AND SO EDUCATIONAL!

OUR PREK 4 STUDENTS HAD A WEEK FULL OF ROCKETS, ROBOTS, AND RAINBOWS FOR LETTER “R” WEEK! THEY READ ONE OF THEIR FAVORITE BOOKS, RAINBOW FISH. THEY LOVED MAKING ROBOTS WITH OUR UPPER SCHOOL STUDENT AMBASSADORS!
