Upper School Review

BY STEPHANIE WEHRER

The Upper School Science Club hosted Family Science Night in the PAC on Wednesday, April 12th Students from middle school and high school set up various stations to demonstrate science experiments or investigations, to show younger students and their families that science can really be a lot of fun!

Ms. Ann Watson launched Family Science Night a few years ago, following a wonderful professional development series she attended at Arkansas State University. It has become such a hit around the TRA community, and we are so grateful for the time and planning she puts into the Science Club and this special event, each year. An additional thank you to Coach Dean, and growing the student involvement during this event, to include middle school demonstrations as well. Well done, future scientists!

This quarter has been so busy around campus, that we have gotten a little behind on congratulating our students of the month recently For March, our staff selected senior Will Hughes and junior, Alice Sigler as students of the month worthy of commendable recognition. For April, the students chosen by the staff as students of the month are senior Eli Ramsey and freshman Mary Pence. All of these students are exceptional representatives of our school and student body! Congratulations, students!

The middle school Math Club paid another visit to their lower school friends this week, to have a little fun with Math again! I just love seeing those smiles!

Ms. Maddux also carried on the Math fun in her classroom this week while working with probabilities. They introduced this week’s lesson by playing a fun game of Probability Pig!
