Lower School Review
The Middle School Math Club visited PreK-2 this week and sorted colors and counted with them. They used fruit loops to sort colors and count with each of the PreK-2 students. They all had a great time, and I think both groups enjoyed it immensely! We love for the “big” kids to come over and help us learn!
Our fourth graders just finished reading one of my favorite books from childhood. They read Little House in the Big Woods together in class. While reading, the students used listening and visualizing skills to recreate the town of Pepin Pepin is the town that the Ingalls family would travel to when they “went to town”. These are so creative, and the students did every bit of the work on their own during class. Our fourth graders also did a math scavenger hunt around the building while working on finding perimeters. They loved this fun activity!
We are excited for Spring Break next week! I hope you all have a wonderful week with your children and enjoy some family time together. When we come back, we will be in full swing for the last nine weeks! Our standardized testing week is April 24-28. This year we will give the CTP, which is part of ERB testing. ACT Aspire is no longer available, so we have changed to CTP. I am excited to see how this test compares to Aspire and how our students will score. I have no doubt they are prepared and will do well Our teachers have worked hard teaching grade level standards and making sure our students have mastered those well. More information about CTP will come home soon.
