Upper School Review

Coach Stevenon’s Chemistry classes have been learning about the unique properties for each different state for which matter can exist. What better way to demonstrate these distinct properties than for students to replicate the movement of particles for each of those states I was able to sneak a peek at their human representations for particles of matter when they exist as solids, liquids or gasses. For some of you, it may not be as exciting as it was to me, but getting to catch a glimpse of this lesson certainly made my science teacher heart very happy!

The counseling department hosted a field trip to Pathways2Possibilities: P2P Career Expo, an inspirational program offered to thousands of 8th grade students in the West Tennessee area. This program was a great opportunity for students to take the first steps in planning for his or her future! The 18 Pathways represented Aerospace, Agriculture/Food/Natural Resources, Architecture/Construction, Arts/AV Technology/Communication, Business Management/Administration, Education/Training, Energy, Engineering/Polymer Science, Finance, Government/Public Administration, Health Science, Hospitality/Tourism, Human Services, Information Technology, Law/Public Safety/Corrections/Security, Manufacturing, Marketing, Transportation/Distribution/Logistics.

Finally, next Tuesday sophomore and junior students will be taking the ACT on campus, during the regular school day. Please pray for rest, and clear minds as they take this test. This will be a regular day for all other grades, and students that will be testing will also resume their regular schedule once the testing concludes. Sophomore and junior students will not be dismissed early after they are finished with testing
