Upper School Review
BY STEPHANIE WEHRER
I want to wish a HUGE congratulations to our 5th and 6th grade girls basketball team! These girls have had a phenomenal season. Wednesday evening they played in the Shelby League A Division championship game against Grace St. Luke While they were not able to come away with the win, we are still so incredibly proud of all they have accomplished this season. Way to go ladies!
A little spoiler alert…our junior United States History students have been working on silent films of their own, as a project for the unit they are currently studying. I caught a sneak peek of some students checking out the prop closet during filming this week I can’t wait to see what they put together! I’ll be sure to cover the final products and share some with all of you next week!
Parents, some of the teachers may have communicated with you already, but I wanted to also remind you that for the remainder of the year we will now have homeroom meetings three times a week rather than just once This is a great opportunity for students to seek additional help with homework, complete makeup work, or get tutoring for anything they may be struggling with. During this time, they can seek help from the teacher they have for whatever subject it might be they may need it for also, which can be a wonderful resource for getting extra help!
6th grader, Ellie Kate Stewart put her superb artistic skills to use this week in her middle school Art class. Elle Kate created a beautifully sculpted clay flower. Great work, Ellie Kate!
