PRESCHOOL

Our children are exposed to the Word through many different avenues Our Noah’s Ark Celebration is one way we lead others in God's Word This is a fun, two weeks worth of learning about the story of Noah and how he kept God’s promises, AND celebrating the 40th day of school. During these two weeks, our students read emergent readers, enjoy learning stations, which include creative "write the rooms," hands on activities, and special cooking time all based on Noah’s Ark To end our celebration, 5K students share their learning by leading the elementary students in a special Chapel service.

First grade uses trade books to teach various reading standards Children’s literature is a fun way to reinforce skills and motivate our students They are able to master skills such a retelling a story, main idea and key details, and author’s purpose. We used the book, Creepy Carrots, to teach the skill of retelling a story After reading the book, students were able to retell the story in their own words

2nd Grade

Second graders at Tipton-Rosemark Academy extend their thinking and curiosity in science by becoming a Secret Scientist. Each week, a student is chosen to share a simple science experiment with the class Once the student is chosen, they must keep it a secret until they share their experiment

Students love to learn new things, explore with their hands, and they are always excited about presenting their science experiment Allowing young students to feel like scientists is important in promoting a lifelong interest in science
