Upper School Review

I am sure you already know, last Friday after we dismissed early due to the threat of storms, tornadoes significantly impacted several towns and communities around this region in Wynne, Arkansas, as well as Tipton, Haywood, and McNairy counties This was a devastating event for several families within our school community, and we ask that you continue covering those affected, in prayer as they move forward for what now lies ahead. Please also be mindful and open to many ways in which you can get involved in offering assistance and support during the relief and recovery efforts benefiting the people and families who need it. This week our varsity softball team and varsity baseball team spent time volunteering in Cobb Parr Park in Covington. We are proud of these students and their coaches, for modeling the importance of serving the needs of others.

Finally, despite the challenges faced this week in the aftermath of the storm, it is still one of my favorite weeks on our campus because it is Holy Week This is the one week every year where we get to have chapel every single day, and hear from different pastors representing area congregations. This week has been a wonderful reminder that we should be compelled every day, by the love displayed on the Cross, and not just when it’s Easter. We should live our lives focused on who Christ says we are, and the value He placed on each of us when he willingly laid down His life so that we might live Happy Easter, for He Is Risen!
