toddlers already learn the basics of skiing in their ski lessons – playfully with a great deal of fun, yet
also goal-oriented and effectively.
AUDI AND WINTER SPORTS Audi and winter sports have always been closely tied: for example, Audi has supported a number of national ski associations for decades, and is actively committed as title sponsor of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup. The FIS Alpine Ladies Ski World Cup 2017 in St. Moritz will further highlight this strong commit-
ment. This enduring bond is also reflected in the design of the quattro BAR, an architectural highlight at Corviglia. The bar symbolises the active partnership between Audi and alpine skiing. The glass facade with the letters “WM” (German acronym for “world championships”) refers to the FIS Alpine World Ski
Championships which took place last season in St. Moritz. Inside the bar, three-dimensional quattro lettering on the back wall reflects the all-wheel drive myth and Audi quattro technology.

AUDI SKI RUN Anyone who cannot take part, or those who might just want to train for the Audi quattro Ski Cup, can launch themselves from the start gate to find the best route between the giant slalom gates in the hunt for a new personal best. All this is possible at the Audi Ski Run on Corviglia, a permanent giant
slalom course that includes the original Audi World Cup starting house and finish arch. Beginners as well as ambitious racers can measure their times using modern light sensors. Each run is filmed from start to finish and can be downloaded afterwards as a video and also shared over social networks.
The Audi Ski Run in St. Moritz is one of the first exclusive race courses that uses video not only to guarantee a nice memento, but also to help optimise skiers’ individual techniques with targeted study and analysis – in keeping with Audi’s motto of “Vorsprung durch Technik”. BLUES MAGAZIN 49
